We bulit one at work once (when i was around 20 y.o at some factory at night)
We shot an orange into a steel connex rubbish bin and put a dint in it so big it bent the top lip half way in!!

the allometry might not work from an orange up to a watermelon. its lack of internal structure and soft flesh would mean it unlikely to hold shape prior to becoming projectile. also the volume of gas to acheive required pre-ignition pressure (force/area) would exponetially increase ;)
i'd suggest a rockmelon. :D |
