This quote from Lee is dead on lol..

“This is one of the most aptly named clubs in the world and will never disappoint,” relays End Up fan Lee Burridge. “It attracts a wonderfully diverse crowd — gay, straight, black, white, small, tall, odd, more odd and the last time I was there, Papa Smurf! Surely the last of its kind in the US.”

36. Vanguard

quote:
Stature, stars and the spectacular are exactly what you’d expect from a venue lying on Hollywood Boulevard and the vast Vanguard doesn’t leave you wanting. A state-of-the-art rave warehouse with all the requisite special effects, it regularly rolls out the red carpet for talent like Sasha, Dubfire, M.A.N.D.Y. and Grooverider.

“Vanguard’s management are heavily involved in some massive productions and festivals so it is no wonder the club is all about professional standards and high productions value,” says Infected Mushroom’s Amit Duvdevani.

82. Avalon

quote:
Many claim LA has eclipsed New York as America’s party capital and Avalon’s presence certainly boosts their case. Prince and The Stones have partied in this space in eras bygone, but now the rejuvenated 800-capacity auditorium is packed weekly with LA’s most lost-it clubbers and DJs like Switch, Josh Wink and Felix Da Housecat.

“Avalon is a club that likes to do things properly,” asserts Dom from the Stanton Warriors. “Not only that — you come on stage 'theatre' style with curtains opening out, as you’re flanked by hot-as-you-like dancers

10: Watergate

Words: djmag

As its name suggests, Watergate does indeed straddle the blue, wavy stuff, with its domineering floor-to-ceiling windows offering magnificent views of the River Spree. The sounds aren’t far off mind-blowing either — the Get Physical crew are all regular guests with Ellen Allien, Damian Lazarus, Sascha Funke and Pier Bucci amongst the calibre of names coaxing your senses with sonic sublimity. Yet another Berlin clubbing marvel.

“The club has this very real, pure and intimate atmosphere,” says M.A.N.D.Y’s Patrick Bodner. “Everyone working for this club is your friend and there is no end of the party until the promoter and the people decide to leave. It’s maybe the most democratic club around.”
