this has nothing to do with music and this may very well be the gayest thread on flta ever, but i really dont give a .
so my gf bought me the star wars dvds a few months ago and i finally got her to watch all 3. she loved them but thats not the point. its been AWHILE since ive seen the original 3 (4, 5, & 6) and never saw the dvd release. i realized they changed some stuff from the original 1970-80s movies like tons of special effects. those changes im fine with... but this REALLY pissed me off right now...
VERY last scene of star wars episode 6 return of the jedi...
original 1983 release:

2004 dvd release:

WHAT THE ?!
thats the gayest ive ever seen and in a way i want to ing throw away the dvd. i obviously wont but i cant believe they changed that bull.

You're talking about the change of Actors for Anakin Skywalkers Ghost, right (your pics are down so I can't tell for sure)?
Yeah, that was a very poor choice on Lucas's part. What was he thinking? |

all the changes were terrible. You didn't see them in theaters in the mid 90s??
anyways, I believe on the dvds you can choose to watch the original or the special edition. |

thats only in the dvds that they released the second time. i think when they released episode 3 they re-released the original trilogy with a second disk with theatrical versions and the quality sucked on those editions.
as for the alterations...i dont care too much i think some of it looks good and some looked forced but they had to change anakin at the end of jedi so he looked like anakin of the new versions and not some old guy. i think ..its been a while since ive watched jedi completely |

No they didn't. The newer Star Wars trilogy happened before the original trilogy. Changing Anakin's ghost was not neccesary in the slightest. Hence, why it pissed so many fans off. |
