"We place a lot of emphasis on personal responsibility for body weight," she said. "Our billion-dollar diet industry is founded on that premise. Your weight is modifiable. But that does not reflect the current state of science. We know from hundreds of randomized clinically controlled trials that it's very difficult to sustain weight loss over time with our existing treatment methods."

What, science now says that weight is unmodifiable?

This kind of bullting really annoys me. The percentage of obese kids has increased by more than 100% since the 1960s. The percentage of obese adults has increased by an even larger proportion, if I remember correctly.

So we're supposed to believe that millions more families suddenly got "fat genes" or defective thyroids, and that's why obesity is so much more common? We're supposed to believe that such a gigantic change in rates of obesity doesn't in fact represent changes in dietary and physical habits, but that some factor out of anyone's control is "forcing" more people to become obese?

Riiiiiiiiight.

Like c'mon. You cant even see the bottom of the one on the left and middle. Its like this, Chin rolls cover titty rolls. Which are engulfed by their enormous bunts/gunts/50 rolls, which cover the bottom part of the suit. Holy Batman. This pic makes me laugh soooo hard. I bet the pool is filled with gravy. Look how tiny the one on the right looks though.:D

So, this is what overcast looks like, when it hits landfall? :haha:

I also think that weight loss inability is just a cop out and that only some obese people have medical difficulties with weight loss.
In earlier times most people had to work annually and that took so much energy that they automatically stayed fit.
Even more, many were also underweight due to slight starvation.
I call bullcrap on that report.

Agreed. The percentage of people with genuine genetic disorders or mutations is actually quite small. I don't know the exact figures but there's no way in hell that most of the obese people in the world have the problem. For those that do, I genuinely feel sorry for them as they can't help it, but it's being used as an excuse by the large majority of fat people. They need to get off their asses and exercise while maintaining their weight through proper nutrition.

Plenty of us eat normally so why can't they? I mean, there's a big difference between being 10kg overweight and 50-100kg overweight. I mean Jesus Christ, these people get take away every night, visit McDonalds for breakfast and then complain that they are fat? I'm not saying fast food is the devil but if you're going to eat it, limit how often you do and order a single meal, not 3 family sized portions that are supersized and just for your own fat ass

These types of weights are just too damn unnatural and I don't see how people can stay that way. "Oh because it's hard"...life is hard, deal with it. If you actually put in some effort to exercise and maintain your diet, you would actually find life easier. Remember that saying "You only get out what you put in"? Exactly. Without doing the hard work first, your life won't get any better but if you do, you will eventually get to a point where that work is no longer that hard at all.
