Parties in Japan or Thailand this summer?

I'm planning a trip to Japan & Thailand this summer, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations for some parties out there. I'm heading out July 23 - August 10 and wanted to hit up Tokyo, Bangkok & Phuket.
There's this crazy festival on August 9 with Prodigy in Tokyo called Summer Sonic... anyone heard of this?
The website's in Japanese, and well, I don't read Japanese so I'm outta luck... :conf:

So anyway, I found tons of websites for clubs and parties in Thailand and Japan, but i guess i just wanted to find out whether or not anyone had any suggestions or experiences.
Anyone else planning a Thailand or Japan trip around the same time? :D |

Really? Good to know... thanks! I've only heard of Club Asia... it's like the "Guvernment" of Tokyo. There's 3 floors and lots of EDM! |

Womb is basically the Mecca of Asia for DJs, like Warung is for South America and Fabric for the UK. Just one of those clubs that DJs really find special
in the next month or so Hawtin, Sven Vath, Guetta, SOS and so on...

screw the parties...go to Kanchanaburi in the North of Thailand...then follow the waterfalls.

If you're in Thailand and want to party, there's really no other place than the full moon party on Koh Phangan island. It's really something to check out just once if you can.
Can't say much about Japan, though Womb is a favorite of people I know who have gone there. |

i went to the full moon party like three times. its great if you can get drunk and still handle yourself. otherwise, watch out that people might try to rob you. a ladyboy robbed this guy i knew lol. he was so drunk he didnt realize it was a ladyboy hahahaha.
edit: phuket is crap imho. goto ko phangan instead. but if you want to see thailands most beautiful beach/island. go with ko phi phi leh/don.
it's where "the beach" was shot. and whats so great about it is that there's no roads, cars, motorists. or anything. real paradise, you can only walk there basically. it's that small.
ill post my pic about 4 months when i get home.
edit: goto slim/flix in bangkok. they're clubbing district is rca (royal city avenue.) you'll be amazed at how nice and packed the venues are. theyre pretty high class (for the average thai person)
and vertigo as well, in bangkok. skytop roof patio bar. |
