Prog-House/Trance (130bpm) What do you think?

Hello all.

Just about finished my latest track which, frankly, has been a right pain in the arse. Think I'm gonna have a little break from production after this. I think I'm finally satisfied with it, though there may be a couple of loose ends to tie up.

Anyway, its a proghouse or prog trance (you tell me ;) ) track and I'd really like to know what you think.

Thanks for reading

Nice prog-house.
As far as i can tell it sounds good.

Alright, on the fly!

bleeps from the start sound funny, weird, and the kick quite plastic.
ah filters :) the bleeps start to sound a little more grooveyyy and now the bass is kicking in, making it all a very nice warm mix.

I like the groove!
oh, sweet filter in of that bassy synth. kick comes back sweet and steady, like a tiesto track (he tends to do that a lot).

aww a really nice filtered breathy synth comes in, gets me nodding my head on the beat :) good job!

Oh I just started to notice the squares, they add a nice layer of space, but don't really do much else. I like the note progressions, but I think the squares are a tad too much, it's all about the art of leaving stuff out :).. not that I fully understand that :p

break1 sounds good (I assume there are more breaks..) kick comes back in a subtle groove, together with the bass, everything works well together, and the subtle percs work fine as well.

Although, at this moment the track doesnt seem like its going anywhere imo, the sounds are too much in one soundscale, the note progression helps this a little, but still its getting.. 'boring' although thats not the word im looking for.

aha! break two, dominant little squary things. more note progression..
6;33 now, the main melody. I didnt really expect a main melody, but a comeback of the basics of the track, imo the melody isn't that great but its personal taste, it just doesnt add anything for me :)

(this isn't a genre usually I listen to though, so maybe it's supposed to be like this)

Nice mixable outro, giving a lot of room the dj :)

ah FIN

I have to say, gréat production quality here, nice usage of "space", although cos it's not my favorite genre I feel a little prejudice about saying it's an "ok" track for me.

Keep up the good work mate :D!

love'n the warm kick :)
think the organ could be tweaked a tad with some fx..possibly some stereo widening also to open up the mix.
Mixdown is pretty solid
Love the minimal kick-in after the break

Very nice groove :)

Thanks very much for the feedback.

Glad to see some positives.

Since the original post, I've done quite a few tweaks, improved certain elements, extended the 1st break, altered melodic content blah blah blah.

I've updated the original link with the revised version.

Would love some more feedback.

Thankyou

:)

Not my style, but from what I can tell it's a really good job in terms of production.
It has a very 80s feel to it which is very big at the moment. User of space and stereo works well in my headphones at least.

Nothing to complain about. Good work.

Cheers

Nicely done m8.

As an above poster already mentioned, the bass pattern after the breakdown is great. I like the prog sounds operating throughout the tune.

hey there,
as Takkra mentioned its a very nice warm mix, good subs in the bass. The beginning is nice with its minimal percussion and small bits of melody. The main melody theme is maybe a little repetitive, but I like the more minimal parts without oh and I'd change the closed hihat, maybe apply a little groove, its too static. The overall mix sounds good. Well done!

The more I listen to this the more I realize how good a song it is. You should try to get this released. Again, great job!!
