| Wow, good way to trash a constructive thread. Oh sorry, forgot, we don't have those anymore. |

| construcutive threads are a thing of the past on tranceaddict. audiopioneers is a great forum. you dont get any and if there is its quickly deleted. |

| this is why AP is good, only problem is there aren't enough people over there. i definately don't think we should split this forum up though. look at AP, each subforum only gets posted in once every fortnight! |

Better search capabilities.
Hammer in peoples heads the art of using google and youtube, along with the tutorial master list above.
Maybe if you have X number of posts you are allowed access to another subforum for you more "experienced" producers so we n00bs don't piss you off. It's hard not reading every post I guess. |

| we dont need to divide up the already pretty abandoned Production Studio into more.. we should just have like a test for n00bs to be able to access it.. like, where does a n00b find answers to this and that, blablabla jim beam+coca cola=deeerunk.. yeaz |

I got a better idea.
Leave it as it is and if you see a thread you want to reply to, you reply. If you see a thread you dont want to reply to, then dont.
I've never once understood why someone would even be remotely bothered by a post going "what synth/speaker should i get etc". Why waste time focusing on stuff you don't like.
And if you want more interesting threads then create some. There have been quite a few recently that have given some really useful info. |

Some dude asks you what stuff he is supposed to recycle because hes not sure whether to put things like yoghurt pots in the trash or wash them out and drop them in the recycle bin. You make him a nice big sign over the bin that lists all the stuff you can and cannot recycle.
One day hes washing out an empty can of tuna with scalding hot water and the intention of recycling it but as you well know, this is dangerous thinking because you never recycle recepticles that have come into contact with meat produce. As a consequence of his ignorance he fumbles it and accidentally slashes his carotid artery. He is bleeding out all over your sink and spoiling your tea towels. When you get home you find the feds are swarming all over the place and have implicated you in a bizaare voodoo ritual. They find the tuna tin lid with your prints all over it but you recycled your tesco receipts. dood. Run.
They arrest you and haul your ass into the cells where you get butt served in a series of long and painful nights by intricately tattooed gentlemen that for some weird reason keep dropping bars of soap and expecting you to pick them up.
All of this because of some dumbass who can't read a big ass sticky that TELLS HIM WHAT TO DO WITHOUT LIKE DYING HORRIBLY. |

You must have, you and the mods.
It seems ridiculous that the owner(s) (this being a commercial entity) doesn't seem to care if site traffic drops off? Maybe it hasn't yet but the people who know useful information will not hang around if it's just a bulletin board for dumb, over repeated or really obvious questions. Then, the question don't get answered, and new members stop coming. The same can be applied for subjects in the wrong sub-forum.
To prove my point, here's a snapshot threads that either should have been closed or put in the correct of right now:
Welcome to the Equipment Recommendation Forum!
Are there any good key matching programs?
External sound card
Trance VSTs and Plug-Ins
Paul Oakenfold is a douchebag..
Midi keyboards and software
Midi Keyboard question
That's seven threads out of 30 - and most of them have been on here for days. This forum used to even be a bit policed by some members who would set idiots straight (thanks mr. Mystery ;) ) but even those can't bothered anymore. |
