I want to bring some cds with me ( cause i know they have cd players )
but i never djed with cds...my questions

will the sound be a lot different from the vinyls ( at 192 kps) ???
is djing with cds like djing with very good turntables??

thank you m8s

all depends on what CD players they have.
some of them suck, some are good.

pioneer and denon are usually pretty good, some people like numark too.

if i were you, i would try to find out what kind they have, and get some practice in when the club is closed.

If you have burned mp3s at 192 you probably wont tell a difference.

The first time i played on CD players was on a pioneer100s, to be honest, i didnt like it, and still dont like it.

BEWARE of the Pitch! (0.1% typically)

i finally got to play around with a pair of 100s and i thought it wasnt too bad, however, i still prefer my vinyl... its not bad for the tracks you can't get ahold of or whatever... i'm not too keen on the controls, but what can you do

I don't own a CDJ, but from what I've heard the pitch slider is disgustingly precise (a slight slift and the BPM changes to a million beats faster) so you might want to practise a little with it before you do live.
