I understand what you're saying, but you guys are a little too clubby for me.... like I don't know, just when I think of this forum and the Toronto TAs, I think of ginos and ginas, and people who are snobby and macho in real life. I'm more down to earth, out to impress no one but myself, friendly kind of guy mostly attends legal raves, and illegal underground parties. I'd feel out of place at your get togethers. |

The only thing i can say is check yo' self!
The one thing that "rave" culture and trance music (and this website) should teach you is that we are united by music. Its funny because this rave culture you talk about is a culture of tolerance and understanding .......... and love.
PLUR?
EnTrance was a great time. It was one of those type of parties where ppl you walked by would smile and say hi. Very friendly atmosphere. Sure ppl were dressed "more clubby" but why judge from the outside? People should be treated on an individual basis in life and one should never assume who or what they are.
I can understand what you are saying here Cold one... The club crowd can get too superficial and slimy. But with the case of Entrance and the TAs that were there you are wrong!

ugh.. whats with the rave vs. club attitude. don't you think you're being a little snobby yourself?
who cares if they don't wear bright coloured snug or modrobes, and getting high on E. (note sarcasm - prejudicial statement about ravers like yours about clubbers)
you just prejudged the way toronto TA's are just by the way they looked on the outside. but they were probably more willing to be friendly and accept you, than you were willing for them... friendly eh.
anyways, I did not attend this event but I just wanted to drop my 2 cents on that post. :P |

Good grief man...what are you going on about???
I'm no 'gino', or 'clubber' or 'raver'...and the event was lots o' fun.
It's amazing how some people can have an opinion about something when they've based it on no information...
Obviously you're either trying to justify to yourself (or us) for not going.
You need to go and experience it yourself and then you'll have an educated opinion.
This isn't a personal attack on you, it's just a thought on how not to grab that glass of water for the other foot in your mouth...;) |

hmmm...:sadgreen: I dont know about that. All I have to say is that the whole bunch of TAs (haven't met many but the ones who attended STATE) are in fact one of the friendliest ppl I've met. All of us are out there to have a good time and enjoy the music that we all love. |

LMAO!!
Cold One, what in the world are you talking about? How many TA's have you met and had a chance to know? The over 20 TA's I've met and partied with regularly are without exception friendly, fun, considerate, and mostly down-to-earth people. So please come to the next event and meet some of us before making assumptions. Also, what are you doing on this site interacting with all us snobs so much? :conf: |

Well Im happy to see someone see's me as a gina! :eyespop:
LOL.. NOT!!!!!!!
It's all in your head dude! Why would you stereotype us all when you have never even attended any of our events? That doesn't make any sense to me.. it's just some mental picture you have in your head.. well remove it because it's not true. About the ginos and ginas thing..they are the types of people that tend to get in our way at these events and they are usually our focal point to joke and laugh about... we are all different and unique.. except for the fact we all love trance. You should really stop thinking what you think, and come out and meet us before you start judging. How do you know that we're not your "type of crowd" when you haven't even seen, met, or gotten to know us as people and as individuals.
I would also like to know why you are on the forums and in the "tranceaddict" community if you think we are such snobby people?
Perhaps you think that because most of our events take place at GINO HEAVEN GUVERNMENT.. well that isn't our fault.. we don't chose the venues or where the big dj's are going to spin. You think we like partying there?.. Im sure some of us do.. but I know a lot of us don't!
"I understand what you're saying, but you guys are a little too clubby for me.... like I don't know, just when I think of this forum and the Toronto TAs, I think of ginos and ginas, and people who are snobby and macho in real life."
What are you saying dude!.. haha.. u don't make sense! What do you mean by clubby?.. like short skirts, high hoe shoes, 4 inches of makeup, tall muscular roid men??... HARDLY!!!... ummm... EWWWW! Have any of us made a snobby comment or acted macho on this forum?.. haha.. Im sure it comes up.. but COME ON! That is a huuuuuuuge stereotype.
"I'm more down to earth, out to impress no one but myself, friendly kind of guy mostly attends legal raves, and illegal underground parties. I'd feel out of place at your get togethers."
I have met a lot of down to earth people on here.. most of the TA's I've met are down to earth.. and what makes you think we dont attened legal raves.. and underground parties.. that's where most of us started dude.
ughhh.. anywaze.. I had to express what I was thinking.. because I do not like to be thought of something I am not.. and I speak for all of us.

I'm sorry, but the whole "PLUR" thing is nothing but a joke to me. I've seen some pretty ty things happen at both clubs and raves to myself and to many people I know, so you can probably see that I am quite a jaded person because of both scenes. PLUR doesn't exist to me anymore.
The rave culture? It's not what it used to be. It's full of snobs and elitists too, and it's rare that I can say a party is great because of thugs, elitists, drug dealers, and crackheads. The vibe is pretty much gone, from the Toronto rave scene, but there is some left, and therefore there is hope.
I would go to EnTrance, but I'm not exactly one to go all by myself to places where I don't know about and people of whom I've never met. I also know that you guys are united by music, and that's why I'm here. Would I be here if this was JungleAddict.com? Hell no.
Oh, and about stereotypes?
EVERYONE'S GOT THEM. I'm sure everyone has them about me as well. All part of being human.
So check yo' self first, bro, before you check me.
I'm not attacking anyone personally. Just stating my position and my views. |

Ok, you got me there, maybe I'm being a little snobby, my apologies. I'm sure you've let confidence gotten to your head every now and then.
Right again, but I'm trying not to judge on clothes. I'm just sick of guys who take off their shirts and ing stink up the joint and pretend they're hot or something. That just annoys me, which I'm sure you guys are annoyed by it as well. Ravers can also be nasty as well, and some of them are scummy and disgustful too, no exceptions.
Once again, I apologize for judging you guys like this. |

Everyone is categorized, by something or the other. People do it. I do it. You are what you are. Without having an identity or a social tag placed upon you is like saying that that person does not exist.
Once again, I'm just stating my views on the matter.
Who knows, if I have the time, I may just show up. |

I'm out there to enjoy the music most of all. It's just hard to ignore s who interfere with your love to enjoy it. I never said any of you weren't friendly. |

I've met none of you. I will try and make it out to the next event.

I haven't really interacted with the Toronto TAs since most of them don't interact with me. I'm here for my love of trance and info on it. |
