Does anyone on this board practice this martial art. I've been fascinated by it since my friend introduced me to it years ago. I wish they had some place in my town that taught it.

I have a friend whose also into capoera too. I've been to one of their practices and it was pretty cool. He told me I should give it a try..And yeah, I guess I should.:)

DA?

Now on a serious note, Capoiera is actually a pretty effective art, if you combine it with a few others liek say jujutsu. I never got into it as I am not nearly flexible enough for half that . It definitely looks cool... I've sparred with a few practitionaers its actually quite unnerving, but fairly easy to defend against. They kick hard thast about all I can say. I still prefer Karate, Tang Soo Do, Hapkido & Jujutsu over most any other art, tho thats just my bias as I have studied many many martial arts for most of my life.
