Yeah hotel california is a great pop-rock song, but there's a lot of better ones out there, and aside for this tune The Eagles are a pretty mediocre band.

not really that charactaristic of their main body of work, and while it's good, it mostly seemed to serve to get people interested, then stop being interested when they found out the rest of their stuff wasn't really like that. that said, i love the eagles, grew up on them
