If you were going to learn a new language, as an investment in your future, what would you learn?

I'm thinking Mandarin. I'm studying commerce & IT. When I look around my classes, all i see is nips and curry munchers. If that is anything to go by, seems like a smart choice...

On the other hand, Russian is the 5th most popular language in the world. My mum is Russian too, so it would be alot easier.

Thoughts?

As an investment in your future, I would say Mandarin, Japanese, or Indian.

For fun? Russian would be cooler, I reckon.

Edit: Mandarin is considered a ING hard language to learn though. Not that the others would be simple, I guess...

Edit 2: Japanese or Indian then, if you think of them as 'Nips and Currymunchers'
