| With my convivial companion. Any suggestions? I hear the cabbies have top x pills - though it's doubtful I'll want to trip there, what with all the free alcohol. Anyone else going? |

Most cabs will bargain with you to give you a ride. They're everywhere. $5 will get 2 people almost anywhere.
The food there is awesome either at the hotel or local.
Be prepared to spend more money to get food from an American franchise. They have Dominos, Pizza Hut, Hooters, McDonalds Burger King, but expect to pay twice as much as you would here.
Def recommend loading up on some snacks and drinks(water, pop, booze).
Most places close by 10pm it seems except for the clubs which open at 10pm.
Each club has it's best nights, so ask the hotel for tips. Every club has packages which include open bar with wristbands, and are $45-$55. BTW clubs over there are have some sort of show going on to entertain people. The best club to visit any night is Coco Bongo. You will have a good time. The City is also good on Fridays. Avoid Senor Frogs, unless you like the college bar scene.
Def recommend renting wave runners and going at it. I think they charged about $40 for 30 minutes but it goes a long way, and it's tons of fun.
The bus along 'the strip' costs 65 pesos(about 65 cents and runs 24hrs a day, at night a lil less frequent. The strip refers to the Hotel Zone/Clubbin Zone it's in the complete opposite direction of downtown Cancun. It is soo Americanized there that people you wouldn't expect speak English.
Those are things that I can think of. Have fun |

Many thanks for all the tips, Hector! I was also told that some local damsels contrive to abduct you, whereupon you may survive with a missing organ or two. I'll try to steer clear of those!
Are wave runners jet skis? I was defo planning on riding those..wanted to go diving but my friend is against it. |
