Usually, when the discussion is about music, people talk about everything pertaining to that music. I fail to see what's wrong here. So he voiced his opinion about one song from your favorite band, big deal.

I really cant see Radiohead being "amazing" live. Just too mellow for me to get pumped about. Not saying it sucks, Its more like the music Id cry to about an ex-girlfriend.

Before entering the large outdoor arena that is Alpine Valley, I was told that after the concert I would think that Radiohead is the best live band ever.

At this point I would have to spend a lot of my time going to every concert possible to try and change my mind about that little tidbit of information that I firmly believe in.

Knowing only songs familiar to MTV viewers and radio listeners such as "Creep," "High and Dry" and "Karma Police," as well as a little of their newest album, "Hail to the Thief," I was especially excited to see what else Radiohead had to offer, thinking that the group wouldn't play the songs I actually knew.

[...]

Overall, this experience was the best concert I have ever been to and I came out of it with a greater appreciation of music in general.

It will be hard to convince me that Radiohead is not the best live band ever. Radiohead's live performance was one that would make me want to go to a concert to see if any part of it is influenced by elements that Radiohead used for their show.

Interesting...hey I wouldnt mind being wrong on this. I guess I just under estimate them. until I see them I cant go by another person opinion but this helps.
Ian

i thought the same thing really, before i saw them for myself live.
i thought based on all of the previous recordings i heard their live show would be really mellow, slow, geared towards people smokin a ton of joints in the amphitheater lawn...i was so wrong. not only was it a show i danced a lot to, it had so much in common with a great electronic event--the people partying together, the beat/rhythm vibrating through the building. its really a totally different experience than you'd expect.
i'm not trying to sway your opinion at all to agree with mine, thats the beauty of music--you can savor it however you see fit, but if you ever get the opportunity to see radiohead live, take it. enjoy it.
i'm lucky to have it.
