Was the patio/2nd floor only open? Are they doing work on the main room?

Mainroom was open at first but due to low/scattered turnout they decided to close it and move the party upstairs where the vibe was happening. Gonna be challenge to fill that space with the usual compression King King crowd imo, but this was only the first try.

Sound issues in the main room as well. Zero bass and the mids were way too high.

Heh probably :p I know the sound system is brand new in the main room, they're probably just not used to it yet. Hopefully it works out at Ivar, it's a pretty sweet venue.

ps
Ain't nothing wrong with Serato :o

It actually wasnt bad, but only in a small box sized area in front of the DJ booth.

I am very interested in gathering more opinions on the night and the venue. Please share more if you could. Give it to me straight. I'd like to know what you thought was good, bad, and ugly.

Thanks!

Personally think King King is better fit for the talent you pull. Ivar has that trendy Hollywood vibe were KK is more underground feel. In my opinion the Minimal-Techno scene has a dirtier feel too it. Ivar is a nice place for someone like a Bob Sinclair or David Guetta.
