| i am liking the 303. The groove is great, but the drums sound too "dry" to my ears. Also I'm missing a bass fundament. Otherwise funny track. |

i agree with the first reply.
cool groove/ideas but the percs sound a bit too dry. dig the rimshot melody build however. |

| aight.. so a little wetness do the drums then.. any opinions on the 303 filter automation? did it by hand :D |

I think that the wetness is unnecessary.
The fact that it's dry gives this track a certain grove.
I'm missing a huge wobbling bassline over here.
The rimshots kick ass.
The 303 is ing awesome. You need a good bassline to compliment it.
Maybe add one more element to the track.
Some fx.
I might play this if there's a bass involved :)

Don't use a sub. Use a big punchy bassline.
And I donnu about the dryness, it adds something that makes you nod your head... |

by dry i mean they need to be tightened up with eq and some very light low decay verb |

Haha, this is awesome.
a big bass line and wetter percs, I think the track sounds great as is.
However, I think you could do with some variation on percs; they get a bit monotonous.
Though I don't think this needs a bass line, it probably would keep things more interesting and you wouldn't need to change your percs, giving a more hypnotic effect.
Re: sub-bass line, I can hear it reasonably well as I have a sub here at my computer; it sounds alright. :) |
