I've been interested in mixing and producing trance lately, i have fruity loops, ableton live, and virtual dj, but i dont really know what to do... Is there a website that gives help/tips/tutorials with mixing and producing? also, what is the best way to get full mp3's for mixing?

www.beatport.com to get songs without the word "esssenttiiaalll" erratically placed throughout the song

book: how to dj right by frank broughton & bill brewster (read it 1000 times already)

youtube: username :ellaskins <- jonathan covers tons of crap fairly well. also his website-> djtutor.com

all are not necessarily ableton or virtual dj particular, but a good start to understanding whats going on when djing if you really are beginning.

just a shot in the dark but:thats a lot of money to spend on software if you have no idea how to use them.. wont start the stealing debate because i actually think its a good way to get into what you might love. if you really fall in love with djing and producing, youll end up spending every dime on the stuff. so try it out and just mess around with it. id start with the djing aspect first because without knowing some of the fundamentals it would be way hard to make music that would be worthwhile.
(just my opinion)

There are also plenty of tutorials on youtube for stuff like creating lead synths, kicks or sidechain compression etc
