Do you guys think there will be bigger protests in and during Olympics? Maybe UK/France/EU tourists posing as spectators and bring out Tibet flags and run in feilds during crucial 100 meter runs and stuff like that?
Do you think torch parade protests was just the begining and something bigger is coming this olympics in CHINA!!? |

| I'd say protests are more likely in London, Washington, and Paris. China won't tolerate any dissidence during the Olympics, and frankly, I think people's interest will wane over the summer. Just look at how attention was lost on the issue of Darfur over this past year... China just has to wait out fleeting protesters. |

Everyone is having fun times criticizing China and trying to derail their torch relay, but ask yourself this question:
During the next Olympics and the ones that follow, what kind of protests and other silly double-standard hypocrite attempts are going to be done? I mean, I read some prominent articles which say that 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver will be feasted upon by Canadian Aboriginal peoples who like the success of the current campaigns ....
while all this time the Canadians are happily jumping on the anti-China bandwagon, happily going every day to dollar-stores and buying "Made In China" items with more than just happiness and money savings. And while the Canadian government is looking forward to signing some long-term economic deals with China.
As I said before, many people are dumb - they often fail to see ahead and deep into any situation.
Its fun to protest Chinese brutality, but while the same protesters keep buying Chinese made cheap products, I dont think I am ever going to support their cause. Besides, they cant gain/win anything other stealinbg spotlight for their own show/ego/program, which is hardly helpful in the big picture.
now I am rambling./ |

| China will have a hell of a lot of security. I think they will make sure that spectators have no way of reaching the field. |
