Im working on this track, but the rendered file (mp3) sounds so low in volume, here's a sample:
(clicky)
All the knobs in fruity are around 70%, the master volume is at 99%
and still such a low volume in the rendered mp3?
please help!
nota bene
If I crank the sound up óver the 100%, that volume display turns all red. and im sure the peaks are going of screen then :p.
thanks in advance, hope someone can help! |

Surely you just put it through a Limiter after you rendered it?.... Tracks are allways quiet out of the sequencer. If you have wild peaks that clip out then your mixdown isnt quite right i'd think.
I looked at the file in soundforge it looks ok, a lttle peaky maybe, but looks fine, just work on your compression... it wont be so peaky when youve added more layers.
I mean , am i stating the obvious here?.. |

| hey mate, sounds cool. check the compressor maybe you got it rendered to much? also try and play with the multiband compressor on the main channel, it works wonders. allternativly you could always "Normalize" the tune or give it a slight volume boost with sony soundforge for example. you could also put a parametric equalizer on the main channel and just turn up the volume with that. let me know how it worked out, good luck mate. ;) |

well there's nothing on it except a very subtle compressor, I like to make my mixes as "natural" as they can get, it worked with previous tunes and it gets rid of a lot of "muddiness". Although I will surely work on the mixing again, i've been mixing more then producing on this. But thanks man, I appreciate it.
hey rinster :)!
I'll try to use the multiband compressor on it, I never used it before :p. And in soundforge I used to normalize all of my old tracks, but it makes them sound so "compressed:p" anyway I'll also try the other things you said :)! thanks man! |
