Is there specific criteria for what counts as "cyberpunk"?

I ask because I genuinely don't know.

its a subgenre of fantasy that includes the ability for humans to interface with machines, normally at a neural level.
Audious
The Matrix
Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Johnny Mnenomic (Movie sucks, but it's the closest you're gonna get to that genre)
Blade Runner
Mmanu
^^^ true about Johnny Mnemonic, well at least Takeshi Kitano's in it.

Blade Runner
Ghost in the shell, but that's animation.. Robocop and Terminator ( the first one ) are kind of cyberpunk. Mad Max(1) was a cool movie as well.

Really, your best bet would be to look up a Shadowrun forum. They have a metric of threads like this.
