listening:
-initial short synth and beat are cool, i think you could get a lot of energy out of them.
-im not sure this.. i dunno short filtered string sample ?, im not sure it matches the energy, atleast not with the metronomical way you brought it in, maybe widen it out a bit or mix it up somehow ? i feel you lost a lot of the energy you were building there before the pads came in.
-oldschool arp after the pads, im feeling it, like the depth but it lost a lot of volume i think you need to use a compressor and add some gain to keep that volume up before the bass comes back in, its nice and wide but i had to turn my vol up to hear it.
-personally i think id turn down the volume on the low end overall here once the beat kicks back in (sorry im not looking at the times, but right when you bring the kick back alongside the arps) and instead turn up the mids and midband i think youll get a lot more drive.
solid ideas, personally i wouldnt let the arps go so much after you bring them in, they keep the energy well, but thats just my opinion, i think with a lot of tweaking limiting and compressing your sounds and polishing your mastering youll get a really cool track here. |

| m listening thru some phones... so its a bit hard to tell frequency problems etc.... anyway the remix sounds very very similar to every other remix done of this track... it just sounds not so "pro" sounds simple and raw... sorry man i didnt like it too much... but try adding more percs and making the lead and pads more unique and crispy sounding... i actually dont like the melody at all (not regarding your mix... i mean at all)... try improving the sound of each individual thing and then improve them all combined... |
