That is key IMO. I've been very very lucky.

But ya, one of my good friends was in a long distance relationship for 4 months, and thank god it was only for 4 months before he moved home b/c she went crazy.

Have you been in a long d relationship? Phone/Letters/SEEING EACH OTHER are all great, and much preferred in most circumstances....but MSN makes an important difference (at least in my personal experience, and the experiences of 3 of my closest friends

most def. msn makes it feel like the person is in the same city as you. reduces oceans and continents to "across town". it makes the person accessible when you need them. msn is easily the most vital.

ughggh i know, i've been doing it one app at a time when them come, a couple months in and now i barely ever get any cause they're mostly all blocked

Now if only there was a way to do this for events that come in as well. I seriously must get 15 throughout a day that I have no plans on attending. There is an odd one here and there, but that is it.

I checked out the facebook chat yesterday, didn't talk to anyone, but I think I will just stick with msn when needed. There really isn't a need for it.

nah. MSN isn't as romantic.

letters are personal. it requires time and effort. it means more to get a personalized letter than random electrons floating across your screen

Isn't as romantic? Definitely.

Requires less time and effort? Debatable. With letters you're consolidating all the communication into one longer session. You spend a couple of hours a week writing a letter, and your relationship effort for the week is done. With MSN, it can be an hour or so every day, which sums up to be a lot more time overall.

Plus, the real-timeness of MSN closes the distance between the participants, because they are replying instantly (giving the feeling that they are there with you, one some level) versus a week later.

Joel Smye or whatever his name is finally pissed me off enough with those that I had to leave the FOOTWORK group. Try inviting me to the umpteenth Sydney Blu event now, . :p

MSN and relationships = disaster IMO.

Im too sarcastic.

Meh... MSN'd back and forth across the Atlantic for 4 years with the guy I am now married to. The funny thing is he's super sarcastic, and I'm the most gullible person on the world, so we had quite a few interesting chats back in the day LOL :stongue:

Exactly what I was talking about. Obviously being with the person > talking to them on MSN

And who says I was talking about you? (p.s. I was and I love you, let me visit)
