Oh and with Oceanlab - that would suck imo. I LOVE all the tracks they have rleeased till the cd came out. Seems like the ones released were the only good ones imo. The cd is so mellow and boring. All the trance was released haha.
How about some duderstadt - that name is huge now or Daniel Kandi. |
Remixes my friend... remixes...
I mean, they've come out with 2 singles already (Sirens of the Sea & Miracle) and have Breaking Ties on the way... and all three have specific "Album Versions" that sound different from what they'd actually play in a set (Club Mixes)....
The album has more of a mellow feel because they wrote it in Ibiza...
Remember Tri-State? Take a listen to the album cuts of Home & Good For Me... the album versions have more of a mellow sound to it compared to the Club Mixes...
oh yea... and +1 on Duderstadt! Haven't they been playing more of the Inpetto sound lately though? |

I agree with ya on the club mixes they are damng good and take time. But for an oceanlab set live they would need more than 6 tracks to cover for a set. I would love to see an oceanlab live set, just dont think they have enough at the moment to hold onto an energetic set. But if somehow they do manage to pull it off it would be amazing.
Not sure about duderstadt. All i know is the hits are still bad ass. Not sure what the setlist is like at the moment though.
I think Skills only needs one headliner in the top 10s though to get the crowd. Massives should have one top 10 and then the rest just kick ass artists that are rare to see in clubs or at massives. The massive should compete with club crowds on artists and not just to get the kids not legel yet to go to the clubs. If they can get artists that dont come to 1015 and ruby then that is a great massive. And with one dj in the top 10, and with the reputation skills has already, the place will be packed no matter what. Just focus on artists and production! I think they have built a name for themselves already to do so. THat is insomniacs weak point. With a name and everything, they are slipping away as being the same every damn year. I mean do Carnival for skills is the right idea except the venue is much smaller. So with armin as a headliner and then menno and emery and matt, the place will be packed. Just an example. Sell the one top 10 name and the people will come! |

Did you go to POPSICLE 2005? The one at the Piers with Lange, Oceanlab + Above & Beyond... they've done it before:
07:00 - 08:00 - ANGEL & ROHAN
08:00 - 09:00 - GIANNI
09:00 - 10:00 - ST JOHN
10:00 - 11:00 - MYSTRE
11:00 - 12:30 - DYLOOT & TOM SLIK
12:30 - 01:15 - OCEANLAB live PA
01:15 - 02:45 - LANGE
02:45 - 04:00 - ABOVE AND BEYOND
it was just a short set from Oceanlab, but it was WELL WORTH it... just ask Skwallie, I know for sure he enjoyed every minute of Oceanlab... hahaha (if you read this Skwallie, you know what I mean)... |

No that is the one that i cant beleive i missed and everyone says is the best. Both venue and production. Yea, if they split a oceanlab set and then do an aboe and beyond set that would work. Forgot about that possibility. Only thing is if there is no oceanlab set, i woudnt do above and beyond becuase they have been here for love recently and prefer new acts - oceanlab counts for sure though if that works out. |
