Exactly. I've been in the shop couple of weeks ago to buy some dynaudio's but I couldn't resist comparing the lower budget monitors as well. HS80M is probably the best out of the whole 0-250$ price range. That's coming from somebody that owns Behringer b2031 for over 5 years now ;)
Can't wait till my bm12a's arrive :D
If possible, go listen for yourself. That's worth more than a million recommendations. |

i think the behringers are a bit louder, but the sound quality of yamaha is higher. |

Have a listen to the Event ALP5's if you can, I brought a pair recently ad I very impressed with the size of speaker versus the volume of sound. Really easy to listen to with clear open mids and highs - like a flat wall of sound in front of you. |
