Backup - software

Hey,
Every now and then, I copy my music collection (and other important stuff) to an external harddrive as a backup. This takes quite a lot of time and I'm just wondering if anyone here has used any kind of software to simplify this task? I know there are a lot of free synchronization/backup programs, but I don't know which one to try.
Any suggestions? :) |

There is SyncToy in the Windows world. Free download from Microsoft.
I tried it but don't use it actually, I just copy my files to the backup drive every month or so. |

Just tried it on some dummy folders I created, and it seems to work fine so far :) |
