How good is Pacha for events? (pg. 4)

you guys are overreacting and type casting...
yes, maybe its not the best venue for a trance/progressive act whos whole crowd wants to be on the dancefloor and stare at the dj the entire night. The building/club is built up, and not out, like Roseland, Webster, or how crobar used to be...It's a dance club, not a concert hall, or a huge park with a stage.
Go there and find your own little spot and dance, you dont need to be on the dancefloor crammed with 2500 of your closest friends, I promise you, you can hear the same music in another area in the club!
If its too packed on the dancefloor, heres a tip!
Dont go on the dancefloor! The club is gigantic, I guarantee there's space somewhere in there!!!
Other than that, take its face value, its won best Superclub in the world 2 yrs in a row...they must be doing something correct!!!!
had some great nights in there, especially the Victor Calderone residency! |

The guidos never bother me, as I never see too many of them, in my experience they are a small minority most of the time. |

the guidos hardly go out any more, but as soon as someone sees one of them, it becomes typecast as a festival of italia & hairgel |

yes, they are doling out really good favors....
I wouldn't go back to Pacha if they were giving out $1000 bills inside, I wouldn't go back if the Beatles were reunited/raised from the dead and were giving a special concert only for me, I wouldn't even go back if my own wedding were scheduled there |

As funny as that is, it almost sums up the way I feel about the place. I'm not quite as passionate about it :p However, I'm not really looking forward seeing Above & Beyond this Friday for the reason it's at Pacha. I hate having to push my way through people because they don't know how to act. Sometimes I'm tempted to push people down the stairs because they're blocking me from getting down or up. Whatever, I'll get loaded and make the best of it. I can almost deal with it if I go there once a year for A & B. |

Haha, they don't come for Pacha, they come because they want to see trance, which always draws a more eccentric and diverse crowd than say, house music (in my opinion). |
