The license class in Wisconsin is $15, but the responsible beverage service class is around $100 (I think). |
i know you have to be licensed, but i guess beyond that i don't really know what's required... |

You have to take the Wisconsin responsible beverage service class which is a one night, 3 or 4 hour kind of thing where they basically go over a bunch of somewhat obvious stuff about serving booze - once you've either completed, or provided proof of enrollment in that class, the state will issue you a bar tending license.
Pretty easy, doesn't take a lot of effort, and I think you'd probably be good at it. You don't tolerate much bull, and that's an essential characteristic especially for female bar tenders. |

taking the class generally involves 4 or more hours of boredom and the purchase of a big book of drink recipes - everything you would learn with actual experience.
like someone else said, just get a beginner job, dishes whatever and pay attention, and you will be up front in no time| |

The class is required for licensing in Wisconsin. No class, no license. |

you did bartending school too, correct? how much does something like that cost? | ABC bartending was like 400 or 500. You make the money back fast and since it's a school nationwide.. I can always go back and take a refresher course for free.
:)
ewww,, u guys need a license? We don't. Pretty much anyone can bartend in FL. You take the class to learn the proper counts and mixes. |

Myra,
If you really have all this spare time, GET OFF YOUR BUTT AND RECORD ANOTHER SET. It's been far too long.

i finished one a few months ago but wasn't 100% happy with it, so i kinda scrapped that idea. i might still put it up just because people have been asking me for new mixes... but i dunno, i just haven't really had the ambition to work on music stuff lately.
i need to do something that will get me out of the house and away from computers! |
