So, I'm still just getting around Toronto lately, and I'm trying to get better acquainted with everything there.

Where are your favourite places to go at night to listen to music), and why?

So far I've only been to Guv and a couple other smaller places, and my first time to Circa will be this weekend... so I wanted to get an idea of what's around. :) Although I'm sure I'll see everything in my own time, I am interested to see what others have to say, and what their experiences have been like.

I'm not trying to be rude or a jerk.. but TA has this thread as a sticky: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...4&forumid=12&s=

the picture thread should also be a sticky... ah well...

nothing is better than guv IMO...

Yeah but I actually just wanted wanted to hear a few personal opinions about these places. :)

When I first started hitting up clubs it was The Phoenix.. now it's guv/zone (no surprise there)

There are so many good places...

guv obviously..if you love trance, pretty much one of the only places does does trance, and brings in the best dj's...however, i'm a wayyyy bigger fan of the koolhaus. Freedom on may long weekend sunday will be a good party in there. They generally only open the kh on long weekends.

If you're more interested in house music...
Thursdays at hotel are generally pretty good for house.
Also, On fridays, Mod club or footwork is really good!!
This is london many people like, but i'm not a fan of it...i haven't been back in awhile, so might give it another shot for a good dj (ie: mark knight...but who knows)

Circa is cool, but i've only been once, so i dont really have a solid answer.

Places that a re cool for a chillin night...i LOVEEEEE Paeez on college...it's jazzy/house, but more of a martini chill feel to it - sit down, with hookah (i dont think i spelt that right ;) )

If you're looking for more top 4o and mix of things...mauro is pretty cool..been there once...but it's more like a place with guys in suits, and a lot of really dressed up chicks. but with these clubs, i'm not usually a fan of them, so someone else might better know where to go.

Good luck, and enjoy the city! :)

Favourite clubs would Footwork and Guv (but seriously there is a thread created about this at least once a month)

Favourite pub/place to sit and listen to music... This is something that I would be really interested in hearing peoples responses. What bars/pubs/lounges play good music, has a nice relaxing environment, and serves great drinks???

I love Andy Pool Hall, and on Wednesday nights they play breaks.

If you want a good beer ,, the BIER market is a great place that i just visited ..

http://www.thebiermarkt.com/

its near guv,, soo great place to pre-drink! all the beers u can think of!!

- Footwork
- Been to Blak a time or two now and enjoyed it, but more a matter on the DJs that they bring in then the club itself.
- TOI bar for some techno on Fridays, not really a 'favorite' of mine, but no cover / cheap drinks / good music.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, you'll want to keep your eye open for various Promise events

- Cherry Beach Sundays
- Their high-park Cherry Blossom event (should be soon?)
- Kajama boat cruise
- Harvest (in September)

I tend to just follow the upcoming events and head to wherever the DJs I like are playing.

Bier market is great for exploring beers of the world. A lot of fun. Live bands (so no EDM). IMO it can get way too packed. But its still a lot of fun.

I also love pubs and lounges myself, just places to sit and chill, so this is good too. :)

I'm really looking forward to checking out some of the patios/outdoor events out there, as well as a boat cruise or two, if I can.. not to mention dj sets elsewhere.

I guess I should have made my question a little more all-encompassing, but you guys are doing well at answering what I was looking for.

Long live the summer :)

Thanks for all the input so far.
