Not that I have a problem with what you are saying ......
But it's a live set rip. You can just download this set in it's entirety and play it from there.
Also, *if* you are an alt. It's weak that you can't make these posts under your real TA name. Judging by your post TODAY and sign up date TODAY. |
Downloading and listening to a live set is one thing. Posting a rip for everyone else to download is completely different. Even if I am an Alt the message remains the same, but if you must know I am the label manager for Hardwired Prod. |

There's much better quality of these tunes out on youtube.
But yeah.. download the set guys!!
Oh & Btw.. you aren't an alt then :happy2:. ty for clearing it up haha. |

well our reasoning is that when people have a rip they listen over and over again and do not purchase the track when it comes out. Also some people are ok with the poor quality of Mp3 versus WAV. also with youtube it is a stream and it is not as simple to burn to cd or put on ipod. but btw, unless it is a video we are working to remove all the HQ youtube links.
I know this seems a bit harsh ....but one download seems like nothing to one person but multiplied by 100's or 1000's then it becomes huge problem for artists. It is becoming such a trend to download these days it is having significant impact on industry. Some people (not yourself I am sure) think music just comes out of the air and artists do not put their hard work and creativity into creating a song.
To take it a step further, the first day of the exclusive beatport release of Phoria Elevation remix, there were 400 downloads of the beatport version in 320k on one bloggers site. It took two days to take this down and on end of the 2nd day the number reached 7430! 7430 multiplied by $2.49 or lets just say $1.49 if you prefer mp3 = $11,070 or at $2.49 it comes to $18,500 This is just one of the 3 links from one of the many sites that hosted the 320k beatport version of the track.

yes, stealing is bad
but if anyone can download the set and listen to it, there shouldn't be a problem...
also if you aren't going to give people the option to buy it they will find a way to listen to it, so put it up for sale then you can complain about set rip |

| As far as I know, TA.com lets people post rips of Live sets. That's why I posted it. No one is going to spin a live rip of a track, and who knows I could have even promoted the track even more. Anyways great song I look forward for when it is released so I can buy it. |

It would suck if more than 1% of TA would be content with a live rip. |

This remix is more subdued than the Elevation remix but it's no less beautiful. Comes complete with a nice build up and breakdown.

That speaks volumes of how purchase-worthy it really is. How happy are you with the fact that so many people will fall for the cheap thrills trap, immediately buy the mp3 on Beatport, then after they get tired of it after 10 listens - the mp3 will rot on their hard drive for ages? But what do you care, they paid for it - you got your mouthful, right? |

This is an ignorant statement.
I think what they mean is that people become less inclined to purchase and settle for the ripped copy rather than purchasing the song. But whatever their reasoning it is the labels decision. Justify however you want but stealing is stealing.
As for purchase worthy ? This track sounds like it could be one of the songs of the year :) |
