When I got my new apartment a few days ago, I had to decide whether to get Internet access for it. I decided not to.
Strangely enough, I miss it very little. |
So what are you doing in place of internet? Or are you stealing the neighbors? :p |

Watching movies and creating music, mostly.
Usually I get on the net at my school's library for a bit each day to read some on TA and check my e-mail. But since I started living in an apartment without it I'm using it so much less than I used to and it feels pretty good. |

Such a different lifestyle...rather simple - go to work, meet with some friends after for some beer, and the day is done, walk home and have your skull split in half with a machete |
:rolleyes:ff |

I use it as a way to combat spending money. :D But yeah, I use it less than I used to. Most of my usage is actually at work. |

i'm in the same boat... except i'm just waiting until Sept 17th for my internet to get installed.
not bad since i've got internet access 8+ hours a day while i'm at work.
now i just drink wine and watch anime and play with the cat and text people when i get really bored. |

My best friend spent 2 years in Argentina. They are very judgmental there. All the things they do are just insane. |

As a semi-famous Russian author said, "If you sit in front of the computer connected to the net and every 30 seconds you click a link or refresh a picture, almost every time it'll show you a new and sometimes even an interesting thing. But if you don't go online for a week, or even better, a month or two, then after that if you log in, you'll find that absolutely nothing new and, even more so, nothing interesting has happened" |
^ This is so true. |

| Sometimes I dream of living without even a phone line. I get this little irritating sensation whenever I hear the phone ring - like I've just been reminded that my little sanctuary from the outside world can be breached at the press of a button, by anyone. I don't know how you cellphone people do it. |

I don't have a land phone line at my apartment, either.
If I turn my cell phone off, I'm completely cut off from any remote contact -- the only way anyone can reach me is to come knock on my door.
It's an awesome feeling. :toothless |
