south beach is incredibly over-hyped EXCEPT for WMC week...then its like another planet! :crazy:
but i dunno why...i love it there...really really love it. feels like a second home when i go even if its not during conference.
if theres a big event going down, it'll be fun/busy while you're there. |

| Word to the wise there is little or no sense in living in SOBE, or SOFLA in general if your not making at least 60k+ a year. alot of you guys get sucked into the fact that its party central down here and therefore is a great place to live. but the reality is the cost of living is very high and you best make sure you have a good job lined up before moving here. i struggled the first few years i moved here because i had a bull job and would have been better off staying in Orlando till i got a better one. but like most people i was allured to the glamorous sobe nitelife scene and struggled my ass off for two years till i finally got my str8 and got a decent gig. i cant knock anyone on wanting to move here just make sure its for the right reasons and that your going to make decent pay because there is more to life than the next insert DJ name here ____ party.;) :D |

I hear ya!Gone are the days when I get VIP at Space for 3 months in a row. Yet if I feel compelled to do it I'll just bite the bullet because sometimes its worth it.Like for Morillo or Deepdish or someone who's huge that you can't even walk around it's a good thing.
I go out far less than I used to and the fact that I dont have a girlfriend (and will not for sometime)have been extremelly benificial to my wallet.Hence me going to DEMF and balling out.Literally the parties are so cheap I might go to everyone.As you mentioned the "SOBE" scene isnt fulling put into persepctive until you party other places and realize how cheap it really is everywhere else other than Miami/and NY. I find that while it is more expensive and most times insanely so it has made it more classy than most scene's that I have partied in.For that reason out of everywhere else I have been I will call Miami "my" scene because " I TRULY LOVE IT" and plan on staying in SoFl until I retire.
Then its off to Costa Rica:) |
