I just saw this flyer. It looks like a festival in Mexicali. $20 Presales, $30 at the door. And it's at a HUGE Park 5 min from the border.

| Are Americans still going down there in the same numbers? Given the recent travel alert, murders, carjackings, rapes, kidnappings, etc...it's no surprise why business owners down there have been hurting lately. I don't see myself crossing that border to TJ anytime soon...:nervous: |

| This is not in TJ. This is in MEXICALI. You don't need to cross the TJ border at all. Mexicali is a lot safer than TJ. And I do mean A LOT!!! Let me just put it to you this way, Mexicali is pretty americanized. |

even I went to Rosarito a few years ago, it was amazing. But it was def. something to be wary about..
but, damn.. that is sick.

haha, dont get me wrong...I love my Mexico, like Los Cabos (CSL) and such...just very wary of the massive increase in violence in the border towns lately (i haven't been in years). did you hear about that epic gun battle in TJ a few weeks ago? 15 dead and something like 30-50 cars involved. they have quite the little drug war going on down there right now.
