Not for me. I don't do gore or horror - just not my thing.

Does anyone else think that humor episodes were way better than the "conspiracy" ones?

I don't think they're better per se, but they were awesome. The one in Black & White with the monster who ate peanut butter sandwiches was definitely one of my all time favorite episodes.

also liked the one where they were in the bermuda triangle and CSM ended up being a nazi:stongue: :stongue:

also, the carnival freak show was :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

I have a feeling that many of you will be disappointed with this movie. Though, that's just me lacking any and all faith in Hollywood's recent re-hashes of old ideas.

Meh - even Duchovny said it was very, very hard for him to come back to playing Mulder after being so far removed, so that isn't exactly inspiring confidence either.

I do, however, think it's better to go into a movie like this with doubts rather than high hopes - undue expectation can make a decent film seem awful if it doesn't live up to what you think it should be.

Definitely waiting to see it. We'll see what happens.

whether its good or bad, whatever, its still X-Files. and i'm not looking for Picture of the Year. i'm looking for mulder, scully (is Doggit and Reyes in the movie?!?), Skinner, CSM, and little green men to amuse my eyes and brain for 120 minutes. that's all i want.

edit,

as long as it doesn't suck like that stupid episode where scully got the tattoo

Episode "HOME" was one of the best episodes in the whole series...and it had nothing to do w/ aliens, hehe.

i've got seasons 1-6 on DVD...watched them all on and off again when i first moved down here...it had been about 4 years since the show ended...and i had forgotten sooooooooooooooooo much about the conspiracy.

goddamn what a great show

The mother in that episode is so damn creepy. Anytime I hear this song I just think of that episode.

STOP THE ING PRESSES!!!!

So far Metacritic has the new X-Files movie at 49 and Rotten Tomatoes has it at 31%.

:(

Looks like this one's a critical flop. I doubt I'll see it, as I've recently been buying the X-Files DVDs and rewatching the series, and the contrast between what it once was and the (likely) poor new movie will probably piss me off.

I meant to see it yesterday, but I didn't get time, same with today :(

I'm totally seeing it anyway, even if the reviews aren't so good. But, I'm certainly aware that it's not going to be in any way as good as the first 7 seasons of the TV series.
