And somewhere in America is a middle school that needs to cancel their afterschool programs and layoff half of its teachers because of lack of funds. There's a bridge or tunnel that is barely passing standards and about to collapse. There's a huge population that's spending 80% more on food than it did 4 years ago. That's a cool looking ship, but I think you get my point...

Seriously? Wow i have a whole new respect for you, that is quite awesome.
I think subs are really cool, but you would never get me into one unless it was advanced enough to be like this one.

Sadly it looks like thats not going to happen anytime soon. |

it's not like the money is being thrown away. while it could also be used to provide funding to schools, the money is being used to provide jobs to engineers to develop technologies that will inevitably be used by the general population. so many modern technologies have been invented because of the need to advance military technology: microwave technology, satellite technology, radar, advancement of radio signaling, GPS, etc.... Military spending is not always bad. |

dark, cold, cramped, foot odor. it's a lot like being married but with porn everywhere.

How is this is gonna have a positive effect in our daily lives? perhaps they can spend this money towards something useful? more research towards climate change?search for alternative fuel technologies? you know things that atually matters?
I guess to you the "war on terror" is the bigger issue perhaps? |
