So i have finally saved up enough money for serato, but i was wondering if I should get it. Not like should i buy it or not, but are there going to be newer versions coming out soon that I should wait for instead or something? I just dont want to buy it and then a month later a new product comes out that is better.

People have been recently migrating to Traktor Scratch as its proven to be just as reliable but has much more fetaures like 4 deck support and a firewire audio interface and if youre a college student or know one.. you can get a discount :)

so are you saying i should get that instead of serato?
stan229
either that or m-audio torq/connectiv

traktor scratch has more support of the big names like richie hawtin, dubfire, etc

Yeah man, look at the features of all the DVS's out there (Serato, Torq, Traktor, etc.) and see what you like. They each have their pros and cons.

I've played with Serato and its a cool program. One thing I will say though, it can be annoying to have to set up in a live environment. I always get very annoyed when the dj after me has to hook all his gear up while I'm getting into the meat of my set.
