awesome. How long do you have to train for a full one?
I trained for about 2 months running at least 5 days a week. I still did drink alcohol on the weekends excluding the last couple weeks. I was talking with a couple full marathoners and they said they suggested training at least 2-3 months and giving up all alcohol as well as keeping a good diet for about 2 months prior to the race to run a good time (not just finishing the race).

haha, I was the geek who actually tried to finish first (and usually did...rest of the team was slackers haha). I just am surprised your competitive streak didn't kick in (although I guess goalies don't really need to train for distance as much as they do reflexes).
