I may be interested.

Other idea.

Instead of a live set, why not do a TOTA DJ showcase over a weekend? Make it easier for TOTA DJs to submit a recorded set.
(Same idea as German TAs who does a show like this every 4 months)

the point being...anyone can make a recorded set....doing a live set feels more real to the listeners as well as the dj playing. most stations play pre recorded but the ones that dont are awesome
darouge11

Live sets are only better if the audience give feedback and the DJ adjust his set accordingly.

But I could be playing a pre selected tracklist, except this time it's live, so I don't have much of a room to make mistakes.

Not to mention the dreaded lag and buffers that happens a lot...

Probably better if you're going to stream something live, do it at a TA event

How long would the timeslots be? 1 hour? 2 hours? the longer the better because I'll sit on my decks for 4 hours if I knew it was live :toothless

well we have to decide how long each session should be and how many djs should play in each session so accordingly the timeslots would vary

Yohan: if u dont want to play live, dont... I'm actually thinking of having a chat location set up for the live interaction aspect. Will let u guys know once i figure out how to do it sans MY SQL since my webspace doesnt have MYSQL (yea i was cheap)

EDIT: RJ just informed silly me that there already IS a chat on 2hp.ca. so thats done then...interact with the dj in real time :)

i like diging around and finding tracks thata arent really known or played as often, but are really great.....its always good hearing something fresh....that what im about
samhouse
guess i didn't read the style part.

i play a variety of styles. there can be lots of influences as to what i play...crowd, my mood, the type of party, the time of night, etc....

My preferred style is tech-tribal house but i've been known to play progressive, techno, electro, cheese, david guetta (i'd rather not), and yes even some trance (i like unique trance in addition to the classics of course).

i'm liking this idea. lets make it work!

so later on this week im gonna do a test to make sure everything is AOK for live streaming and next week, put up a schedule and get this goin on the 17th :)

all djs please email me at [email protected] (dont forget TA name cos i unfortunately dont know u all personally)
Endlesswave
I'm in a similar style to Samhouse. All over but I need to get things up and running dj wise first, get enough tunes going then I will play. I will talk to you Liam over msn about this.
