| So it looks like I might make the drive up with a couple friends to WEMF (would be my first one). It sounds pretty good, but is the camping safe? It seems as if a lot of unsecured tents mixed with some drunk (or generally bad) people might lead to theft? Thanks in advance. |

YES, camping at WEMF IS safe.
This or my 4th or 5th WEMF. Never ONCE had a problem, or even a concern about my belongings.
Leave your true valuables in your car if you want the extra surety.
I leave all in my tent (cooler, sleep bags, suitcases/duffles, etc), with my tent zipped up, when i leave the site to go wandering and to hear the DJs.
Never ever had an issue of having anything stolen or or someone stranger rummaging through my tent. NOr do I know anyone who has really experienced theft at WEMF.
(Now granted, I'm sure it happens, and im sure a few others could tell you a bad story, but the vast majority of ppl never have an issue. Its not something i worry or think about.)
Everyone is too busy having fun and f*cked up to worry about all that mess. ;) |

I have heard some bad stories about theft, so u might as well leave things of value locked in your car. The candy kids and jungle people are animals. |
