so i'm flying out to my family tonight, to poland, both for my grandfathers birthday and my cousins wedding.
i got a call 10 minutes ago telling me my grandfather just died of a heart attack. got cold, started shaking and when the paramedics came it was too late. i remember last year he told me hopefully you come earlier next year cause i think that will be my last year. so i did, planned to fly out early may over early late june. it really sucks having all your family overseas and missing every single thing that happens because of long distance.
he was my favorite, played guitar, taught me a bit and introduced me to some of the music that got me into wanting to make it myself. always had a smile on his face. always was ready to drink a shot when you came down.
i'm not looking for sympathy. just cherish all the moments with the people you respect and love, cause sadly, lifes a bitch and you'll never know when they'll be gone.
j1 out, talk to you guys in a couple of months |

...it's at the very least clear how many good times you got to have with him, and those memories along with the lessons he taught you are the things that will never go away.
I hope your travels go well and that when you're with your family you can all find solace in the memories you have. Best wishes, J1 - we'll see you again in a while.

| Sorry to hear that J.One. He must have been a very unique & special guy to have that much of an impact on you while much of the time he's 1/2 way across the world. Always remember the good times you had shared together. RIP :( |

| I'm so sorry this happened to you :(. My grandma told me she wanted to see me before she died too and I had promised her to go visit her in the summer (2006) and she died in Feb. of 2006. I kind of know how you feel. Remember the good times you had with him and may he rest in peace. |

Oh Misiu :( that is so sad to hear
I know exactly how you feel... missing things back home - births, weddings, and the death of someone so important to you.
Naprawde tragiczne... niech dziadek twoj spozywa w pokoju.
Before my babcia died she told me never to cry for her because she would bear the weight of my tears in heaven.
You know he's watching down on you and still with you and your family. Like all dziadeks :p he definitely wants you to remember him happy and healthy and keep his memory alive through all the zabawy, radosci and good times. |
