Did Hillary kill Eight Belles?
A conduit for evil?
Last week, Hillary Clinton told a crowd in Louisville that she was betting on Eight Belles to win, place, and show in the Kentucky Derby, and she recommended that everyone do the same.
As everyone's heard by now, Eight Belles broke both her ankles after coming in second. She was later euthanized.
Coincidence? Or does an endorsement from Hillary Clinton open the doors of hell to unleash unspeakable evil upon the recipients of her endorsement? We took a look through some of Hillary's previous quotes on the campaign trail to see how some of her other endorsements and predictions worked out:
- "If you're looking for a nice vacation spot in early May, you won't find better weather than in Myanmar." - Hillary Clinton at a Town Hall Meeting in Pennsylvania, April 5, 2008
- "I think you'll find that this will be a very good year for women who live in Austrian basements."
- Hillary Clinton speaking at a fundraiser thrown by the Germanic society, January 9, 2008
- "It was true in 'Passenger 57' and it's still true today. Always bet on black." - Hillary Clinton asked to comment on the Wesley Snipes trial minutes before Snipes was sentenced to three years in prison
- "Let's go Patriots!" - Hillary Clinton overheard while watching the final three minutes of Superbowl XLII
- "Will the Olympic torch be repeatedly extinguished en route to the Opening Ceremony? Nope." - Hillary Clinton, in response to a question about whether or not the Olympic Torch will be repeatedly extinguished en route to the Opening Ceremony.
- "Juno. Honest-to-blog." - Hillary Clinton in response to a question about which film would win the Academy Award for Best Picture
- "I recommend Annie Liebowitz- she's great." - Hillary Clinton, in response to a rather surprising request for photographer recommendations from teen star Miley Cyrus
- "These sub-prime mortgages kick ass! Everyone buy three houses!" - Hillary Clinton, accosting strangers on a street corner

No.
Horses spend most of thier lives, even sleeping, standing up, only laying down when they feel absolutely safe. In order to fix a broken leg, the horse has to be cast and kept off that one leg until the bone grows back together. With two broken legs, here was no chance of getting the horse to recover. Euthanasia on the track was the most humane solution.
Fun fact: Eight belles was the only mare running in that heat. |

| This was all part of the sport. Horses are no good with a shattered leg let alone 2. I know it sucks but at least she did not go down during the race and send the jockey flying. Risking the horse falling onto him or the rest of the feild trampling him. It is almost impossible to rehab a race horse with a broken leg. |
