The location you're describing can be one of 2 places although your information may be a bit off.

Hyperia was next to 59 on one side of the outskirts of downtown (next to Minute Maid) and Vision was on the other side (near where 45 and 59 intercect)

Although neither closed because of a drug bust, Vision was "busted" once or twice but thats not what closed them down... people just quit goin after the bad juju that came once the place had a couple visits from HPD.

Now Spy on the other hand, from what I can remember, WAS involved in a HUGE extacy ring bust along with "The Hub" years ago although both of those clubs were in downtown. I remember that was a pretty big deal cause they were arresting people in IBIZA connected to this thing.

I do remember hearing about the spy bust. wow i forgot all about that place. only went there about 5 times. man i for got how many edm clubds we had back in 2000 through 2002 and still a bunch brfore then. WTF happened. :whip:

Incognito
Went to this club once or twice. It's more of a mirage lost in my memory but it was the now that I recall. Very underground and everyone in that place was on tabs or something else. We kinda of stumbled upon this hidden treasure but it soon vanished in thin air. (anybody recall this place??)

Hyperia
That was the place to be at circa 1999 (before y2k..hehehe). De Grace and Champa Moore used to be residents and it was the . Remember many nights and mornings @ this place. Heard the final night was bananas but I did not attend. (this later became GO which sucked balls)

Vision
Was an alternative to Hyperia but more of a small club. Different crowds went through this club but for the most part it was only good at the beginning. Later it was more of a place for ppl to buy drugs.

Spy
Was more of a top40's club with hip hop in 1st floor and 'dance' music in the upstairs. Meh I say, Meh. Lizandro this later became 'VisionS' no connection to Vision.

I remember the drug bust when Spy and The Hub went down. That was about the time tabs became popular in the hip hop world and everything went down from there. Supply plummeted while demand was still riding high.

man, you guys remember when "prague" would play on the radio on sat nights? (no, not "the beat"). Prague turned into..... I always forget the name.

It was some good . I have video of me with a friend out on the road and that playing.

I'm notorious for being nostalgic, but its true, even now more than ever, it was ALL better back then, no question.

digital and daydreamer, how you guys been anyway

been awhile. Last DJ I saw was, damn, avb @ the gatsby

Prague became MBar.

And yes it was absolutely AMAZING in there (although MBar was no slouch). If you ever run into anyone who went, ask them about the "stairway to no where" hahahaha.

I was about to go to Mauro Picotto as well, but never went. That was back in the day when I thought having a fake ID was cool. :whip:

Prague used to be the . That was when grasshopper, prague and clark's (pretty much all connected clubs on Main St.) were all bangin' decent progressive music back in the day.

Prague was also the first club I ever popped ******* at. :D
True.

That Mauro Piccotto show was great. I remember they had a huge 'proton canon' sized laser that bounced off mirrors. (FTW)

Has he ever been back to Houston...me thinks*
