I was speaking to a friend of mine who works at Stonnington council last night and she told me Revolver and 161 are ting bricks with this (could of guessed that).

What I didn't know was that another new law has flown under the media's radar: any new venues applying for licenses will not be granted anything later than 1am - so no new clubs can open up and sell alcohol past this time.

What a pack of ing nut sacks.

If you can't decide on a club by 2am, you should be locked out! :P We've had "lock-out" up here for ageees. Perhaps they need to make it 3am like here, 2am might be a bit too quick but still, if you can't decide on a place by 2am or 3am then you should be left outside :P

lol.

It's not a matter of "deciding" on a place.

Often clubs close at 3, 4 or 5am and then we go elsewhere.

Certain clubs only get good round 4-5am.

i experienced this two years ago up on the gold coast and it shat me to tears. needless to say, it's gunna do exactly the same thing to a lot of drunken violent people here too.

speaking of which, melbourne already has ridiculous levels of violence lately and all this is going to do is add fuel to the fire.
