heh, notice all the fruits and vegetables in other countries vs our pizza and jays potato chips. :(

german food = ftw for life

i say this, however, as i'm scarfing down a meat lovers pizza from pizza hut.

i've been a fatty lately. normally i buy a ton of foods, and have leftovers. and only grocery shop about 1-2x a month, aside from milk/bread which is usually every week
nefardec
i do about 70-80 dollars a week

mostly falafel and pizza because i never have time to cook anymore

My booze tabs have been more than my food bills lately. Should probably do something about that.

You forgot steroids.

I actually can't stand these sorts of comparisons. They don't tell you much of anything other than the diet. The cost of the food is relative to the power of the currency. If the power of the dollar were much higher, that €375 wouldn't be $500. So, taking this into account, the monetary figure could be omitted and you wouldn't have known the wiser.

ps: for the € symbol, use alt+0128. for the numbers you must use the number pad. Otherwise you must use character map. That is unless you know how to add other keyboard layouts and quickly change to that and use it. ;)

One interesting comparison might be food expense as percentage of income. The very poor have to spend a far larger portion of their income on food simply to stay alive.

Indeed, I really want to get this book now. I don't think anything hits me harder than malnutrition and famine. :(
