View this Thread in Original format maximlee i would simply like to know what midi options you have under device / device setup because i have only midi ports and from a few tudorial videos on net they have alot more options. i just got a hardware synth and when i draw in midi notes it will not play and have been trying everything...i mean if i play notes on synth it will register in midi track assign to synth and if i press record on audio track it will record from synth but when i draw in notes it will not play.... many thanks in advance maximlee derail So you have the MIDI Out from the computer going into the synth's MIDI In (and vice versa, the MIDI Out from the synth going into the computer's MIDI In - though that seems to be working fine, from what you're saying). Assuming you have the MIDI cable going into your MIDI In on your synth, it should be a matter of just selecting the right MIDI device (it should have the same name as the soundcard or separate MIDI hardware interface attached to your computer) and channel on the MIDI track. Do you know which channel is set to receive the MIDI information on your synth? DeZmA Your best bet would be to make an external audio instrument so you can use vst plugins on your hardware synth.
