Hey everyone. I`ll be stopping in Montreal for a few nights before flying back to Regina where I am from. I know nothing about Montreal so some help is needed.
I actually have this saturday, sunday and monday nights to go out in Montreal. I`d prefer some funky/banging house or something but anything else will do. Is there any big acts coming through?? and if not what are they rad smaller clubs to check out?? Thanks.

well tomorrow there's DJ Antoine at Light Ultra club on crescent if you like the fluffy club electro-house. Sounds like David Guetta basically. That's the only big name in town this weekend (other than D-formation at Stereo tonight)

Otherwise King Louis plays at new club Lamouche Sat. You may want to check this one out. Can't go wrong with that.

Cool party also at Cherry (417 st-pierre street), this is your most underground option for clubbing + house music.

Sunday I suggest going to club Opera.

cheers

Does academy or Circus have dress codes, because last time some places wouldn't let us in, because we had street shoes on.
And what time does Circus open/close?

The vast majority of clubs in Montreal are very loose with dress code, except for the upper-scale ones which don't allow caps, running shoes, sports shirts.

When in doubt, you better prepare for the worst. Following the recommandations that were made in this thread, you don't need to worry about dress code except if you go to Light Ultra Club or Lamouche (can anyone confirm that?).

Academy = no dress code at all
Circus = don't look too much of a bum, but street shoes should be fine

But the best parties tonight are the one i posted earlier, and they don't require any dress codes :)
