Grad school choices

Due to multiple knee operations i have recently decided to retire from pro volleyball and go back to school :nervous:

I applied to two schools and was accepted at both, U of Victoria and Western.

As thrilled as i am about both, I'm having a very difficult time deciding where to go.

I love Victoria and everything about, the lifestyle, pace, the outdoors, etc etc. Plus, my sister is out there doing her PhD and one of my best buds as well.

At Western, however, I would be working on research that is more relevant and up my ally.

What would YOU do?

Your right, I think I'm just looking for reasons to go out west :D

You can always have the West Coast lifestyle later but right now concentrate on your career path.

By the way, what was wrong with your knees that required surgery?

I'd pick Western.

Isn't Western pretty much a party school anyway? I've heard stories about Western.

I had my 5th operation last month. 2 ACL reconstructions and meniscal repairs. I now lack a lateral meniscus, have a hole in my cartilage the size of a quarter and may need another ACL reconstruction.

Still hoping to qualify for the olympics in beach volley!!

Both are good options. We coast might be better for beach.

What is the program you're going in to? "Graduate" studies is an enormous category!

I just wrapped up my fifth year at western. (undergrad + 1 yr masters) I've actually spent more of my life living in london than I have in TO! London is a great university town and western is a fantastic place to both study and party. If you have any other specific questions about western, fire away!
