can anyone suggest particular synthesizers (software or hardware) that specialize in physical modeling or additive synthesis? i'm really looking for something flexible that can create a wide variety of sounds as opposed to something specific. i would appreciate the help. |

What DAW do you use?
If you use Logic, check out Sculpture, ive heard nothing but good things from this and i cant wait to check it out myself soon.
Hardware wise, i know there are a couple of Korg and Yamaha pieces of kit out there, i dont know them of the top of my head though.
im sure there are loads of software/hardware instruments to check out, i recommend Google ;) |

i'm experimenting with cubase 4 for now.
btw, of course i used google, but i would prefer to grab opinions from the producers in this forum rather than company advertisements.
thanks for the info anyway. |

Chaemlon5000 for an additive synth
I only bought it last week and the presets are fantastic.

Reaktor has a cool one called Steampipe, if you're into wierd textures you can't go past Reaktor.
Theres one called Kubik by Concrete FX, I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but it seems pretty cool, its old though. |
