I lived in my 'rents basement for 10 years and in a basement apt in TO for 2...it's a house centipede. I don't even bother killing bugs...live and let live, he isn't bothering anyone.
Any why kill a spider? He'll eat those things. I have a spider the size of a nickel in the corner of my shower, his name is Gary.
Hank the spider lives on my front porch.

This guy actually has a point. If you can handle seeing a spider every once in a while, they eat all the other crawling around in the house.
However, we have cockroaches in Atlanta... and I havent seen a spider big enough to take on one of those, yet. And if one exists, I dont necessarily want it in my apartment.

I was never scared of spiders until I was on a platoon run in Japan and ran through a web, then felt something similar to leftover web (while still running) and one of these was sitting on my head like a ing hat. I lightly rubbed my head, it latched onto my hand, and I freaked out like a schoolgirl. Roughly the same size, maybe smaller. gtfo spiders, srsly.
