so today i went to the post office to pick up my brand new sonicview 8000 hd receiver. brought it home and installed the 8psk board in to it. rewired my dishes and set up the receiver on my lcd tv with dishnetwork. let me tell you... HOLY ING ! dishnet hd rocks. a friend of mine recently got rogers hd and i was very disappointed with the quality. i was told that expressvu hd isnt very good either so i went with dishnetwork. best decision ive made in a long time.

what channels can you get that you can't get in Canada in Rogers?

arent the channels down?
I know BEV is on my sonicview8000HD
PS.: The remote sucks cuz it only has 1 IR so its over-responsive or not responsive. I love my Logitech Harmony remote :p
How much did you pay for the 8PSK module? I might get one eventually and add a dish on the roof.
or mb i should way for the dual tuners.
Have you tried the PVR function yet? |

Yup, rogers and bell suck for picture quality. The best picture you will get is from the ATSC tuner. ;)
I know, I know, not an option for you. |

they went down at 4pm today but a new fix was posted around 8pm to fix both bev and dish. i dont have any problems with my remote. i paid $200 for the 8psk including shipping on ebay a couple weeks ago. its the a-1 all-in-one board. havent tried the pvr function...dont think i ever will. i dont care enough about tv to record shows. i just watch whatever is on.

it is an option but i would have to get a big outdoor antenna and mount it in the roof of my garage (so it remains hidden). i have no problem doing that but i just dont want any more cables running outside my house and being drilling through the mortar to get inside. i already have enough of those. |

there is no 101 site any more. its not like the old days.
