I'm surprised that no-one mentioned: Agnelli and Nelson's "El Nino", Thrillseekers' "Synaesthesia", Chicane's "Saltwater", Aquanaut's "Deep Sea" (Martin Eyerer Remix), System F's "Out Of The Blue", The Swimmer's "Stand By",Three Drives' "Greece 2000", Fragma's "Toca Me", Atlantis' "Fiji", Tasteexperience's "Tantrix", Scubadiver's "Celestial Symphony", Taucher's "Waters (Phase III)", The Ambush's "Everlast", Salttank's "Eugina", Vincent De Moor's "Shamu", Art of Trance's "Madagascar", Kamaya Painter's "Summerbreeze", Cygnus-X's "Positron" , Dove Beat's "La Paloma", Envio's "Touched by The Sun", M.I.K.E's "Sunrise At Palamos", GD's "Choral Reef"... These tunes were not only summery, they also had a "marine" feel to them...!
(oh yeah...and Armin Van Buuren's "Song For the Ocean"...)
But you get the picture...there are hundreds of summery trance tunes. Trance was always associated with space, sea, coasts and other "vast" environments...and possibly the majority of epic-trance tunes evoke this "nostalgia-for-past-summers" feel.
Now who is going to mash all those tunes into a massive "Marine-Trance" Mix.

JASEfos Ft. Claire Van Der Boom - Do What You Want (Max Graham's Aftrehours in Montreal mix)

Apart from Synaesthesia, not many of them are summery at all for me.

Well, ofcourse its subjective!
The reason i mentioned them was before almost all of them have "summery names". I guess that the name combined with the standard epic-trance formula is enough to induce a "summery imaginary" heh.
But, what, "El-Nino" is not summery!? I guess this is the only tune which the saw-sound of the lead-line has an "under-water" feel. Plus Dove Beat - "La Paloma" is very summery as well (but many of the tunes i mentioned i guess are).

I bet the majority digs that song and acknowledges it as a classic made during the time trance was at the top of its game, but you just happen to be the unpopular few that disagrees.
It is kinda cheesy but i still like it.

let's get this straight:
- it's from 2000 before the tom colontonio era
- it uses arppegios, just like every trance song
- it's not a vocal song, which all you spoiled trance fans complain about
- it's by darren tate, not dj sammy; darren tate pioneered the epic trance sound
- it has nice guitar riffs like solar stone's
w/e :o
my response:
- yes, so? Cheese started with tom colontonio?
- yeah cause arppegios= "cheese-free trance". Or not
- So vocals= cheese? No
- Darren Tate did not pioneered the epic trance sound at all. That is about the most ignorant thing iīve read here for a while.
- what?
It is cheese. Thatīs a freaking fact. Thereīs nothing epic about it at all. I dont say i dislike it but, it still cheese. But enjoyable cheese
